Bruno Grana

Bruno Grana was IAME founder, historic CEO and President. He was one of the very first persons to be interested in Karting. In the early 60s, while working at Moto Parilla, he saw a new product having success in the USA and immediately understood its potential: the Go-Kart. He then convinced Giovanni Parilla to join the market and produce the very first specific Karting engines, dedicated in the beginning to North American market and lately to a worldwide distribution. This adventure lead him to establish Komet and right after to acquire the Parilla trademark. From the join of the two brands, in 1968, he gave life to what is still today considered to be the worldwide leader in Karting engines production: IAME. He honourably lead it until 2005. The International Final that gathers drivers from all the X30 Championships of different countries is, in his honour, named "Bruno Grana International Throphy".
